Bad news for my car!!!!

SO.....Moussa and I were in a car accident on Friday December 5th. A black car cut off a truck and the truck hit the car then bashed into the back right side of my car then hit the entire right side then landed on the front of my poor car. The insurance company has decided that she is totalled and no longer driveable. Moussa and I are ok. I sustained neck, back and shoulder injuries but have healed quickly. I am now looking for a new car. I will miss SCARLET(my car) but realize it is time to move on to something else. If any of you know anyone selling a car for around $1500 let me know! Thanks!!!!!!

Tagged....

I was tagged by Wendy to tell 7 random things about me.....here we go!!!
1) I hate commercials, on the radio and on Television. I can't stand them....I just want to hear music or watch a program, unintterupted.
2) I love getting random phone calls from long lost friends.
3) I love missing work but get so bored when I do.
4) If I have watched a movie enough times to remember the lines, I will unconciously repeat them while the movie is running.....I think people hate that about me.....hehe
5) I secretly love sleeping on the couch.
6) When I am watching a movie, it never fails that I fall asleep.
7) I like to scrapbook but have no talent for decorating and am afraid to start because I know it will look ridiculous...

I tag Erin, Holly, Nici and Stephanie

Garrett....

So I have not blogged in quite some time and so much has happened. First I now have an adorable new nephew. His name is Garrett! He was born about 5 weeks early and for the first few days of his life he had to deal with laying in a "tent" not having the closeness of his mother and father. He could not be held and was hooked up to machines and tubes. By about the third day, he had most of the tubes removed, however, he still had the feeding tube in. A few days after that, the feeding tube was removed and he was able to be held. We have the most precious picture of him smiling in his sleep.

He finally got to go home night before last. It is such a miracle that he has survived everything that his poor little body has already gone through. I am so excited to be able to go visit him in October.

Update of Apartment VICTORY....

So we lost the apartment....I am not so sure they really wanted us to have it so we are back at square one....we went yesterday to find another one and we feel we are never gonna succeed. The two apartments we looked at were only about 400 square feet but they wanted $600 bones plus utilities....not even CLOSE to what we are looking for. We want to be able to have people over to visit and not have to have them in the bedroom for lack of living areas...If anyone knows of any, please leave a comment with the address and/or phone number.

Dress Disaster....

So yesterday(Saturday) I called the place that has my dress. I have been waiting for it to be fixed and cleaned so could get my bridals done....They said it was ready for me to pick up. Naturally I was very excited so mom and I left Brandon's house to go pick it up. When we got there, the girl took the dress out of the bag. From a distance, the dress looked great but when we got close to look at the dress it was a MESS!!!!! There were watermarks from the steaming, there were runs in the fabric on the front and the back and it was dirty. I was SICK! I started to cry and the girl that was helping us asked me what we could do to make me happy. I told her I did not want the dress. She told me we could find another dress so we started looking. I tried on probably 10 dresses before I found one that was gorgeous. It actually looks better on me than the original dress. It is white instead of ivory, which is ok cuz the only things that are ivory so far are my veil and headpeice. I am able to exchange my veil for a white one, a headpeice for one that matches and take my sash back because I don't need the sash anymore. Needless to say, I love my new dress and am very happy with my selection.

You are a Realist

Your attention to detail, appreciation of how things function, and awareness of the world around you make you a REALIST.

Routines are reassuring to you—you feel safer and more at ease when sticking with familiar things.

You like to stay close with those around you, seeking comfort from familiar faces.

You are interested in processes—how things work, what they do, and why—not just how things look.

Sometimes you doubt that you can find solutions to problems, although you have a good sense of why things happen, and can use that knowledge to find the best way to do something.

You are down to earth, concerned more with practical, detail-oriented things than with dreamy or ambiguous ideas.

You have a good sense of your abilities and weaknesses, and don't let your ego get in your way.

You're not one to force your positions on a group, and you tend to be fair in evaluating different options.

You're not afraid to let your emotions guide you, and you're generally considerate of others' feelings as well.

Generally, you believe that you control your life, and that external forces only play a limited role in determining what happens to you.

If you want to be different:

Appreciate that your skill set can be useful in many ways; your attention to detail and your familiarity with the inner-workings of things are valuable assets.

Try looking beyond the earthly qualities of things in order to expand your perspective, without losing your grounding in reality.

how you relate to others
You are Animated

You are outgoing, comfortable with others, and up for anything, which makes you ANIMATED.

Some people find crowds and parties exhausting, but not you! You are able to be yourself in many situations.

Sometimes it is hard for you to understand why others feel the way they do, but that doesn't stop you from trusting them or having faith that they are good people.

You know the world is complicated and that there is often more than one side to a story, so you are careful not to make judgments about others too hastily.

You would rather experience the world than sit back and observe it—you are not one to sit on the sidelines.

You are an independent thinker and don't get too worried about how others might perceive you—you are not self-conscious about being the active, engaged person that you are.

Although you have a keen understanding of different people's life circumstances, you occasionally have trouble seeing why people get so upset and emotional about things—they should just lighten up and have fun!

In addition to having faith in the world, you have faith in the people around you—you trust others to do the right thing and to be honest.

If you want to be different:

Remember that time alone can be just as fulfilling as time spent with others—take some time for yourself and you might find that there are many things in your inner world that are just as compelling as the world outside your window.

Your open-mindedness about the ways of world gives you an understanding of people's differences, but that knowledge doesn't always translate into sympathy. Don't be afraid to let your trust and understanding influence your feelings.

Today we had a girls day out. It was great fun. Erin, Wendy, mom and I went and got pedicures. After that, we went to Allyses Bridal to look at dresses. We found my moms dress and two bridesmaids dresses. We then went to Famous Footwear and found some really cute sandals for the girls to wear with their dresses. I was not initially going to have a veil but as I was standing around waiting for the girls to find the right dress, I tried one on and LOVED it! So, needless to say, I bought it and a really pretty tiara. As the wedding gets closer I am getting so excited! I can't believe we only have 11 weeks left until the big day! Below you will find a picture of my mom's dress and the shoes for the bridesmaids....the shoes are not that dark but I took the picture in a bad light! There will be more to come hopefully soon.......

Moussa's job

Moussa also works at Hidden Hollow Care Center as the Home Manager on the PM shift. He works Sunday thru Thursday 2:30pm to 10:30pm and goes to school Monday thru Thursday. He is extremely busy and we don't get to spend as much time together as I would like but we do spend a lot of time together on the weekends.

My job

So I figure it is time to tell you about my job.....I work at Hidden Hollow Care Center as the administrative manager. I supervise 4 of the 6 departments. They include: maintenance, housekeeping, resident finance and dietary. I sometimes feel overwhelmed and want to quit my job but I don't think I could ever leave the individuals I work with. I am also happy with most of the people I work with. Let's be honest, I make pretty good money for not having any college education. I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to be able to work with such a choice people.
